Ivanovo musical theater is one of the oldest theaters in this genre in Russia.
In 1930, in the Ivanovo region was created a traveling troupe of actors comedy, give performances and concerts in the cities and villages of the region. This team was later to become the base for the organization of the Ivanovo Musical Comedy Theatre.
